Getting around

I am a keen traveller and head off backpacking when ever I have the time and the money to do to it. See the travelogue page to find out where I’ve been.

I'm also a keen hillwalker and have spent much of the last few years exploring the Scottish highlands. Mostly this has been with the help of the Edinburgh University Hillwalking Club.

Creative Side

I’m an amateur artist, specialising in watercolours. I'm not going to win any prizes, but feel free to have a look.

When I was a bit younger I was heavily involved in the theatre. I tried all aspects including directing (4 plays), producing (5 plays) and acting (7 plays). I've played a eunuch, an alcoholic, a headmaster, a murderer, a soldier and a French mistress! God knows what I'll be next time..
