What SHARE Does
SHARE is a charity that promotes the social inclusion of adults with learning and social difficulties. It is a small group based in Maidenhead (Berks, UK). Our volunteer befrienders meet up with the other adults ('friends') in the group every two or three weeks and engage in a wide range of fun social activities.Typical Activities
Typically, these activities include bowling, billiards, canoeing, cooking, pub quizzes, trampolinging, badminton, Christmas dinners and cinema trips. We are always on the look out for other suitable activities that the group can try, and we'd welcome any ideas if you have any. Last year we even tried fencing!Interested in Taking Part?
If you think you might enjoy joining our group, please get in contact and we will be happy to tell you all about it. Alternatively, if you think someone you know might be interested, use the form at the bottom of this page to send them the link. In the meantime, here are some reasons why the current members love it:- Lots of fun activities
- It's highly rewarding - both for the volunteers and the friends
- One evening every two or three weeks can easily fit into even a busy schedule
